Took my VW T4 for its MOT and subsequent repairs. Booked it all online over the weekend for a specific time on the Monday. Prices are excellent, service was superb. Gave me prices for everything and even attached a bracket I had bought for my exhaust at no extra cost. I will definitely use them again for both of my vehicles.

Just had an MOT and quite a lot of work done to my old Ford Galaxy - Impressed with up-front honest advice and the customer service. Came in under estimate and communicated all the way through the work. We need more garages like this one, or just come here!

Very well priced parts especially if you order online and use the discount codes they always have on, also if you click and collect you can usually set off straight away and they will already have the items ready for you.

Great for general service parts like oil and filters etc. I bought a brand new alternator from them for it to fail after less than 50 miles. It cost me recovery and a day off work. When telling them this on the phone they told me I would be sorted with some sort of good will gesture on returning it. Upon returning, the manager (York store) was rather rude and told me no one would say such thing (also no one in the store admitted to telling me this) and it's just 'how it is'.

Parry's came recommended. Haven't used the paint yet. However, I didn't have to wait for the paint. Thanks..

Wouldn't go anywhere else now, after a Hull company left my exhaust hanging loose, Mercedes York recommended these people, they do a proper, careful job and leave the car spotless and everything back as it was. Good to deal with too.

I have used Evans Halshaw for the last two years and I have always found the staff to be helpful, friendly and very pleasant. The level of service and commitment is always high and although they may not be the cheapest you have to remember "you only get what you pay for". I am most satisfied with the service I receive each time I visit and my vehicle gets a wash and brush-up at the same time. I would recommend Evans Halshaw Citroen York to anyone. Oh and then there is the free coffee, what more could you ask for.

Superb service from Ryan Watts. Under two hours from start to finish, trading in my Fiesta for a second hand Focus. Most hassle-free car purchase I have ever made. My wife and I, bought a new car from Stoneacre York, last week. The car is the Ka+ and the car is great, just right for running to work /shopping. But trying to get the salesmen to listen to what we asked for, was hard work. All they seem to want is to sell you extras. Extended guarantees and some fancy paint protection . The paint should be of a high standard to start with. And if the car is built right it should be reliable. We asked for the car to be registered in my name (several times) but when we get the log book it's registered in my wife's name. so now we have to get it altered. just wish they would pay attention. will have to think about if we go back to them next we change car. Many thanks to Chris Woods for his help in resolving this matter. We were pleased that he took the time.to get back to us so quickly. And made us feel that our opinion mattered. The follow up service was first class. Thank you very much. Look forward to seeing you for our next car.

Very impressed with Vauxhall York. Bought my car new from there nearly 3 years ago. Today it passed its first MOT with flying colours (despite having £50,000 miles on the clock) and the one issue it had was fixed for free under warranty. Top class sales team, friendly and welcoming service team, great mechanics and reliable cars. Thanks all :)

Upon on arrival, I was greeted warmly by two sales people. I explained the reason for my visit and Jordon O'Connor dealt with it efficiently. I was offered a seat and a hot drink while he dealt with my request. Jordon is friendly and professional. He spent time with me discussing my options and directed me to the right department for further assistance. Jordon should be the face of Evans Halshaw.

Got a great price for selling my car much more than at the garage I bought my new car from. You do have a bit of a wait for them to give a valuation but the waiting area is nice and airy with refreshments so not too bad. Overall a painless experience and staff were very friendly and helpful especially Charlie who did my valuation. Would definitely use them again.

I purchased a vehicle here yesterday. Initially I was interested in a particular model I had seen online, but it wasn't as I had hoped it would be in reality (too small). No pushy sales team, I was left to look around the cars and make up my own mind without the hassle of being pestered. Great Service , bought a Volvo C30 3 months ago, the alternator went about 6 weeks after purchasing it. I used the Free 3 Month RAC warranty at my local garage (very straight forward to use) had no problems since.I would definitely buy from there again. Fair prices and no pressure sales,

Quick service for motorhome.

These guys are the go to people in York for Commerical vechicals. Nothing is to much trouble, very helpful very clued up. Bought a ford ranger from them for my business and they couldn’t have been better. Customers come first here which is a welcome change compared to most other companies. There vechicle warranty is prob the best warranty by any used car/van dealership in the UK. Thanks guys

Friendly service

I've had cause to deal with these guys on a few occasions recently and spent quite some time lurking around the showroom. I can't begin to praise the whole team enough for their help, friendliness and all round customer service. They treat customers as friends. What a top team.

Really pleased with service from Evans Cycles York last week. I had ordered two parts, and booked for their fitting. Turned up to find out they had not arrived and they did not know where they were. Although for a short while they looked like they could not manage, the Manager found one of the missing parts and insisted they took the other off a bike for sale to fulfil the service. Have bought both my road bike and my son's from them in the last 3 years and v pleased with them both.

Best service I have received in York. No hesitation to take as much time with me as I liked. Solid advice and honesty when they didn't know an answer. Obtained a comparison price, and price matched without my asking. A "Can-do" attitude, rather than a "don't bother me" one. Removed a handlebar from a stem, then refused payment. These guys actually like their work and their customers.

Very busy on entry as there were some pumps out of order so people got frustrated. Fortunately there are pay at pumps so that moves the queues on a bit. Another cause of queues is that people park on a rear pump then have a wonder round the kiosk before coming back to their car. The shop is well stocked. Sometimes the staff are helpful. Sometimes they aren't. You have to pay for air and water here which isn't cheap. Thankfully Tesco fuel prices are competitive.

One of the cheapest in York but consequently always very busy. Can be annoying watching someone at a pay at the pump, walk into the shop to join a queue to pay at the till by card - hence always busy.

Fantastic store. Lots of choice and good quality products. Clean shop floor and well presented. Love the clothing section upstairs and the lift is brilliant for parents with pushchairs and wheelchair users. Very accessible with wide aisles. Great cafe and excellent customer service.

Love it... And I work for another big rival company but I love to shop all over.. You get different deals and options what's not to like.. Reason for not 5stars is my mum has had 3 operations on her knees and sometimes would like a Motorisied scooter to make it easier to go round... not always an option as they are quite often out of order.
