Great for general service parts like oil and filters etc. I bought a brand new alternator from them for it to fail after less than 50 miles. It cost me recovery and a day off work. When telling them this on the phone they told me I would be sorted with some sort of good will gesture on returning it. Upon returning, the manager (York store) was rather rude and told me no one would say such thing (also no one in the store admitted to telling me this) and it's just 'how it is'.

Wouldn't go anywhere else now, after a Hull company left my exhaust hanging loose, Mercedes York recommended these people, they do a proper, careful job and leave the car spotless and everything back as it was. Good to deal with too.

I bought a car seat from hear last October, the staff are great, really knowledgeable and helpful. I took the car seat back today as it had a fault and within 10 minutes they had taken it out of my car to send away to be repaired or replaced and let me borrow a seat while mine is being repaired, they even fitted it for me. Amazing customer service, I will buy all future seats from here and will reccomened it to friends and family

Very impressed with Vauxhall York. Bought my car new from there nearly 3 years ago. Today it passed its first MOT with flying colours (despite having £50,000 miles on the clock) and the one issue it had was fixed for free under warranty. My wife and I, bought a new car from Stoneacre York, last week. The car is the Ka+ and the car is great, just right for running to work /shopping. But trying to get the salesmen to listen to what we asked for, was hard work. All they seem to want is to sell you extras. Extended guarantees and some fancy paint protection . The paint should be of a high standard to start with. And if the car is built right it should be reliable. We asked for the car to be registered in my name (several times) but when we get the log book it's registered in my wife's name. so now we have to get it altered. just wish they would pay attention. will have to think about if we go back to them next we change car. Many thanks to Chris Woods for his help in resolving this matter. We were pleased that he took the time.to get back to us so quickly. And made us feel that our opinion mattered. Got a great price for selling my car much more than at the garage I bought my new car from. You do have a bit of a wait for them to give a valuation but the waiting area is nice and airy with refreshments so not too bad. Overall a painless experience and staff were very friendly and helpful especially Charlie who did my valuation. Would definitely use them again.

Great Service , bought a Volvo C30 3 months ago, the alternator went about 6 weeks after purchasing it. I used the Free 3 Month RAC warranty at my local garage (very straight forward to use) had no problems since.I would definitely buy from there again. Fair prices and no pressure sales,

Another cause of queues is that people park on a rear pump then have a wonder round the kiosk before coming back to their car. The shop is well stocked. Sometimes the staff are helpful. Sometimes they aren't. You have to pay for air and water here which isn't cheap. Thankfully Tesco fuel prices are competitive.

Fantastic store. Lots of choice and good quality products. Clean shop floor and well presented. Love the clothing section upstairs and the lift is brilliant for parents with pushchairs and wheelchair users. Very accessible with wide aisles. Great cafe and excellent customer service.

Love it... And I work for another big rival company but I love to shop all over.. You get different deals and options what's not to like.. Reason for not 5stars is my mum has had 3 operations on her knees and sometimes would like a Motorisied scooter to make it easier to go round... not always an option as they are quite often out of order.

I've had cause to deal with these guys on a few occasions recently and spent quite some time lurking around the showroom. I can't begin to praise the whole team enough for their help, friendliness and all round customer service. They treat customers as friends. What a top team.

Quality work from one man hidden away in the corner of a yard. Work coming out of his ears, so book early with as much info as possible.

Busy little workshop, always helpful but be sure to book an appointment to avoid disappointment. Check opening hours. It is worth the effort as you will get a quality item at the right price. You can't expect quality if you rush, excellence takes time. Would highly recommend.
