Smith's is great, but it is expensive. This WHSmith's is very nice. It's large and carries a wide range of products. The shopping centre has a very large car park and you get free parking for the first four hours.

I love Hobbycraft I could spend hours in there. It's a very large store and has a wide range of crafty things. Downstairs is more art and crafts upstairs sewing and machines. Good selection. Not too bad on price
This is a great crafty shop and has lots of product choice. I mainly use Hobbycraft for the sewing supplies section upstairs, there's always a member of staff around to help you with cutting fabrics or giving you advice about where you might find a product that they don't stock. A member of the team even offered me some fantastic advice about how to stop the feed dogs on my sewing machine from catching my fabric when I start a line of stitches. It is a little bit expensive though.

Easy to get to just outside York, well stocked with everything you need for embroidery, tapestry etc, and they run courses which are very instructive, give it a visit well worth the effort.
This shop stocks an excellent range of everything for anyone who loves to sew. The difficult thing is not to be tempted to buy too much!

I often visit this store for hobbies and craft... good variety of products available and better value than another nearby hobby-craft store. Parking is free but recently parking restrictions have been introduced - if you're staying longer than 2 hours you must let customer services know otherwise you will incur a parking fine.
A large store with a very extensive range of everything and anything. A very good selection of craft products and most items are very affordable. The store is easy to navigate and and find most products. Staff are helpful and very friendly. The store is well worth a visit if you are looking for most household items. Would highly reccomend this store.

I completed the sugar flowers course in November/December 2017. What a fantastic place to learn. Everything was provided including a delicious lunch. Was given a lovely pack of tools and cutters to start being able to make the flowers. I was amazed how realistic the end result was. Including brambles, roses, lily's & freesia's. I would highly recommend this course. A big thank you to Angela. She's wonderful.
