WHSmith

Unit 11, Monks Cross Shopping Park, Huntington, York YO32 9LF, UK – 01904 622555

Smith's is great, but it is expensive. This WHSmith's is very nice. It's large and carries a wide range of products. The shopping centre has a very large car park and you get free parking for the first four hours.

Brilliant friendly staff within a friendly clean and very welcoming environment.

Hobbycraft York

2, Shopping Centre Monks Cross, Monks Cross Dr, Huntington, York YO32 9GX, UK – 0330 026 1100

I love Hobbycraft I could spend hours in there. It's a very large store and has a wide range of crafty things. Downstairs is more art and crafts upstairs sewing and machines. Good selection. Not too bad on price

This is a great crafty shop and has lots of product choice. I mainly use Hobbycraft for the sewing supplies section upstairs, there's always a member of staff around to help you with cutting fabrics or giving you advice about where you might find a product that they don't stock. A member of the team even offered me some fantastic advice about how to stop the feed dogs on my sewing machine from catching my fabric when I start a line of stitches. It is a little bit expensive though.
